The Royal British Legion Ferndown Club in Church Road will be hosting a family day in celebration of the Queen’s 90th birthday this Sunday (12 June).
The event will run from 3-6pm and admission is free. Local people who are celebrating their 90th birthdays this year will be the kings and queens for the day, and ‘royally’ treated to a special afternoon tea prepared by Lee, the new RBL chef.
In addition there will be fun for all ages: a bouncy castle, hook a duck, coconut shy, stocks, giant jenga and other activities.
Children can enter the Queen’s Portrait colouring competition and there will be a selfie corner with props available to take your own crazy family photos. Email them to RBL Ferndown and the best pic of the day will win a free family photo shoot.
The bar will be open. Bring your picnics – street-party tables and chairs will be provided.
