Record breaking amount raised by Bournemouth’s March for Men
Not only were there more participants this year, a record £29,273 was also raised to enhance patient care at University Hospital Dorset.

A record £29,273 was raised for prostate cancer patients at University Hospital Dorset Charity’s March for Men event held earlier this year.
More than 317 individuals, the best turnout in the event’s 11-year history, laced up their trainers and brought good vibes as they walked, jogged and sprinted along the coastline on Saturday 29 March.
This funding will help the charity to enhance patient care and fund state-of-the-art equipment at the hospital.
Kevin Turner, consultant urological surgeon said: “It was so powerful to witness such an extraordinary display of support for our prostate cancer services at March for Men this year. It was particularly impactful to see participants taking part because they had a personal connection to the cause – whether they were walking (or running) for themselves, beside family or in heartfelt remembrance of loved ones.
“Thank you so much to everyone for your support for March for Men this year. You illustrated how strong our community is when we come together to support prostate cancer patients and their families.”
The event was sponsored by Spetisbury Construction Limited and Oak Business Services Limited.
