Ringwood School opened its doors to host the annual Rotary Interschool Photography competition exhibition on 5 April. The theme of this year’s competition was ‘Whatever makes you smile’ and over 1,200 entries were submitted from the following local schools: Burgate School and Sixth Form, Downton Primary School, Moyles Court School, Poulner Junior School, Ringwood School and The Trafalgar School at Downton.

It gives me an important opportunity to encourage and celebrate all aspects of students’ photographic skill from across the local area. Creativity is something we do particularly well as a country and Art education’s role is vital to keeping this production line of talent healthy. I am looking forward to including more schools in next year’s competition and would invite any schools interested to contact me here at Ringwood School”.
