Bournemouth Chamber of Trade and Commerce’s (BCTC) 100th year celebrations are set to kick-off with a sensational Rio themed carnival in less than one months’ time. Featuring the sights and sounds of Brazil, the party will take place on Thursday 10 of March at Bournemouth International Centre.The event will be a one-of-a-kind gathering to mark 100 years since the founding of the BCTC. Guests can look forward to an appetising three course meal with dancing and partying until the early hours and everyone is encouraged to add splashes of Rio colour to their formal dining attire.
Recreating festive South America there will be a variety of celebratory entertainment throughout the night. Max Stone, a finalist from X Factor 2015, will be headlining the night with a live performance on the stage. Bournemouth’s very own Samba Panashe Band will be bringing drums and other percussion instruments to promote the festive atmosphere with Bournemouth University’s Big Band also adding to the evenings carnival theme.

The BCTC was formed in 1916 and since then it has evolved into an organisation with over 600 members and 1500 affiliates. Containing a strong cross-section of the community, it represents around 4,500 ‘traders’ with practically every type of business in Bournemouth represented.
