Bournemouth Water is warning drivers about essential work it is carrying out in Christchurch on October 14, 15, and 16 resulting in temporary road restriction at Stony Lane.
There will be 2-way temporary traffic lights in the vicinity of 202A Stony Lane, Christchurch, from 09.30am on Wednesday, 14 October, for three days
The traffic lights will operate 24/7, but will be manually controlled between 7am and 7pm to minimise congestion as far as possible.
Advance warning signs are currently in place for both northbound and southbound traffic on Stony Lane.
These works relate to the installation of a new water connection, which Bournemouth Water is required by legislation to complete within 21 calendar days of request – they are therefore essential works
The temporary traffic restriction has been agreed with Dorset Highways
A map showing the location of the works will be available under the ‘Planned work’ section on the website at www.bournemouthwater.co.uk from Saturday, 10 October, and any updates to this planned work will be posted there.
Bournemouth Water says it is sorry for any disruption this may cause and will make every effort to carry out these works as quickly and efficiently as possible.
