Road traffic collision in Parkstone
Both the pedestrian and the driver of the car were taken to hospital following the collision in Ashley Road, Parkstone on Tuesday.
A local pedestrian in his 40s was taken to hospital with non life- threatening injuries following a collision with an Audi Q3 in Ashley Road, Parkstone at 3.10pm on Tuesday 21 April.
Police officers along with the ambulance service attended and road closures were put in place.
The driver of the car was also taken to hospital for treatment.
Police Constable Dave Cotterill, of the traffic unit, said: “We are investigating the full circumstances of this collision, but early indication is that it may have been the result of a medical incident.
“I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information who has not spoken with officers yet to please come forward.
“Also, I am very keen to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage of the collision itself or the manner of driving of the vehicle involved prior to the incident.
“We appreciate that it was a busy time on the road and the road closures would have affected many motorists. We are very grateful for everyone’s patience during that time.”
