Rock thrown onto vehicles in Dorset village
There were four reports of damage to vehicles travelling in Piddlehinton in West Dorset on the evening of Monday 15 September.
Fortunately no-one was injured but the results of a rock being thrown onto a carriageway in Piddlehinton in West Dorset could have had catastrophic results.
During the evening of Monday 15 September there were four reports of damage caused to vehicles travelling on Church Hill.
It is reported that the damage was caused by a large rock that was thrown from nearby bushes.
Police Constable Glen Caddy, of Dorchester Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This behaviour is extremely reckless and can cause a road traffic collision to occur, resulting in potentially serious or tragic consequences.
“Thankfully, in these four incidents nobody was injured. However, one of the vehicles was hit extremely close to the passenger window, causing it to smash with a person inside.
“I am appealing to anyone who has information about who was responsible, or saw suspicious activity at the side of the road, to please come forward.
“Similarly, if you have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage, please get in touch.”
