Rotary Club's 24th Rustic Fayre makes Verwood shine
Verwood's 24th annual Rustic Fayre over bank holiday Monday was a busy one, especially as the weather was perfect.
The mags4dorset team was out in force supporting the event and taking photographs. Editor Janine Pulford said, “There was a wonderful atmosphere, the sun was beating down and the crowds were so thirsty the Pimms tent ran out twice, and the beer tent ran out of water and beer.” More supplies were organised in a hurry and service soon resumed.
Arena events including the stars Pedal Power versus Parkour kept everyone entertained, there were stalls galore, ponies to pet, football and circus skills to practise, a craft marquee, classic vehicles to admire and a big car boot sale. Terrier racing heats were reduced due to the soaring temperatures, but for those who wanted to see more hot dogs, there were plenty of big ones at the Rotary barbecue.
A full report and photographs will be in the next Viewpoint Magazine.
