To mark the 800th anniversary of the signing of Magna Carta in 1215, Wimborne Rotary is holding a special event in the Minster in conjunction with the Wimborne Deanery. Former MP for Salisbury, Robert Key, will be giving a talk on this ground-breaking charter for freedom and social justice that has shaped human rights and wrongs across centuries and countries the world over. Now chairman of Salisbury Magna Carta 2015 Project, Robert Key was inspired to enter politics following exposure to Salisbury’s copy of Magna Carta at an early age. There is no charge for admission but there will be a collection in aid of the Wimborne Rotary/Wimborne Deanery project in Nzara, South Sudan.
Date of talk is Thursday 4 June at 7.30pm. Refreshments will be available.
