If you were in the Petersham Road area on Monday 6 January and saw anything suspicious or have CCTV footage, contact the police.
An address in Petersham Road, Creekmoor was broken into between 7.45am and 6pm on Monday 16 January and a safe containing items of jewellery and cash was stolen.
Police Constable Kristian Budden, of Poole police, said: “Some of the items stolen were of sentimental value to the victims and we are doing all we can to locate them.
“I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time to please get in touch.
“Also, I would ask motorists with a dashcam, or residents with home CCTV systems, to please check their footage for anything of relevance that occurred in the vicinity during the timeframe.”
