Fleetsbridge-based Hamworthy Heating is sending its staff out into the community to be Christmas helpers this festive season.
The company’s charity of the year, Forest Holme Hospice, is benefiting from the move as staff donate time from their busy work schedules to volunteer at The Secret Wardrobe, the Upton School Christmas Fair and the Light Up a Life Christmas stand at the Dolphin shopping centre.
All proceeds from the festive fundraising activities that Hamworthy Heating are assisting with will go to Poole’s Forest Holme Hospice, which is dedicated to caring for patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.
Hannah Parsons, events and corporate fundraiser at Forest Holme Hospice, said: “With all the excitement of the season it is easy to forget that there are people in our community, including our patients and their families, who find this time of year particularly difficult and need a helping hand to enjoy the festivities. We really appreciate Hamworthy Heating donating their time to help during this busy period.”
