It is expected that over 250 Santas will be joining the second Santa Stride this weekend at Sturminster Newton.
They will include eight team members of staff from Colten Care’s Newstone House are taking part in the charity fun run on Sunday (7 December).
Organised by The Rotary Club of Sturminster Newton, those taking part can walk, run or ride the course.
All will be dressed in Santa suits and can opt for a distance of two, three, four or seven miles starting from the main car park at the Trailway in Sturminster Newton.
Malcolm Parker, Immediate Past President of The Rotary Club of Sturminster Newton and Santa Stride Organiser, said: “We had over 250 taking part last year and we’re confident that this year’s event will surpass that. It all depends on the weather.
“There are a number of group entries, including Colten Care. The more people registering the better.”
Proceeds from the event will go to CLIC Sargent (For Children with Cancer). The entry fee (adults £5 and £2.50 junior) includes a free Santa suit and commemorative medal.
