Over £8,000 was raised at the annual Sarah Green Golf Day at Canford Magna golf course last Friday, bringing the total raised to nearly £70,000 since the event began 13 years ago. All the proceeds are donated to the Macmillan Cancer Trust at Christchurch hospital.
This year saw 88 golfers along with footballing legend Paul Gascoigne play in the event with over 100 guests at the evening function.
Organised by Antony Rogers, Gavin Trimnell and Tony Brown along with the huge support of their families and friends, the day is in memory of Sarah Green whose wish was to support the Macmillan unit and her family and friends have strived to achieve this.
