Crowds lined the streets of Wimborne Minster to admire colourful floats beautifully prepared by local clubs, organisations, schools and nurseries in the 26th annual Save the Children Parade on 13 December. Father Christmas and the snow princess, dancers, bands and vintage cars made the afternoon spectacle even more thrilling.
The day’s event started early with a mini funfair and entertainment in the town square; a great pudding stir and Santa’s grotto where children could leave their wish lists all added to the festive occasion, which was rounded off with a gun salute by the famous Wimborne Militia.
