Lewis-Manning Hospice will be opening up its Gardens to the public on Friday 18 July for an evening of live music hosted by a celebrity guest.
The hospice will be taking the opportunity to officially introduce their newest patron, local actress and comedienne Debra Stephenson at the ‘Sax in the Garden’ event. Debra is best known for her roles in ‘Coronation Street’, ‘Bad Girls’ and ‘The Impressions Show’, as well as taking the title role in pantos at Lighthouse, Poole.
Debra said, “I feel honoured to have been asked to become a patron for Lewis-Manning Hospice. I’m proud to support the wonderful work they do to help local people with life-limiting illnesses. I was so impressed when I first visited the hospice and have been keen to be involved in fundraising events and to be a friend to the hospice in general.”
Entertainment for the evening will be provided by local saxophonist, Chris Croft, who will be accompanied by Dave Carson on the guitar. The duo are part of local jazz band Revolution Club, who regularly play gigs all over Dorset.
