A visit by pupils at Winchelsea School proved a slice of cake at a Poole care home.
Ten students, aged 11 to 14, joined residents at Colten Care’s dedicated dementia home The Aldbury to decorate cakes.
Class teacher Eleanor Whiteley said: “The children really enjoyed themselves and the residents seemed to have a lovely time as well.
“They were particularly pleased to meet Dennis Bushby, a former professional football player, who now lives at The Aldbury.
“The children rounded off their visit with a song which the residents seemed to enjoy.”
Bianca Turner, Activity Organiser, said: “The cake decoration was a great success.
“This is the latest in a number of visits we’ve had from Winchelsea School. It went very well.”
