Great fun was had when Hillside Community First School in Verwood held their Christmas Fayre on 13 December. Organised by the Friends of Hillside, the evening included many stalls and games, including tombolas, guessing games, cake and bottle stalls and a raffle.
Children (and adults) could have their faces painted and temporary tattoos applied. Years 3 and 4 pupils organised and ran their own games to raise money. A visit to Santa was also a must.
Verwood Concert Brass’ Training Band entertained the crowd with a rousing selection of Christmas music to get everyone into the spirit. The entertaining evening raised over £1,400, which will be used to benefit the children in Hillside.
