Officers in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses after a serious assault in Wimborne when a 21-year-old man from Sturminster Newton was attacked. The incident took place around midnight on Tuesday 17 May in the Rising Sun pub on East Street.
Upon entering the pub the victim was subjected to an unprovoked attack. He sustained a broken eye socket and bites to his finger, face and nose.
The offender is described as a white man, about six feet tall, of medium build, bald-headed and aged between 30 and 35-years-old. He was wearing a white or grey T-shirt.
Police Constable Jo Regan, of Bournemouth CID, said: “This assault caused a serious injury and left the victim in considerable pain.
“Following further enquiries, I am now able to release a CCTV image of a man who may be able to help with the investigation.
“I would urge anyone who recognises the man in the picture to call Dorset Police.
“All calls are treated with the strictest confidence.”
