Seven-year-old boy hit by motorbike in Christchurch
Police are appealing for witnesses after the rider of an electric motorbike failed to stop after colliding into a child in Christchurch.
A seven-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being hit by a motorbike who failed to stop at the scene in Christchurch.
Dorset Police received a report at 7.36pm on Tuesday 10 June 2025 of a fail-to-stop collision involving a pedestrian and an electric motorbike in Fairmile Road.
Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a seven-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with injuries believed to be serious but not life-threatening or life-changing.
Dorset Police are issuing an appeal for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
Police Sergeant Mike Burt, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out extensive enquiries into this incident and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information that might assist our investigation to please contact us.
“I would also urge anyone who was driving in the area and has dashcam fitted to their vehicle to please check their footage for anything of relevance.
“Furthermore, I would like to make a direct appeal to the person involved to please do the right thing and come forward.”
