Sexual assault in Wimborne
Police have a description of the man involved and are hoping someone can identify him or witnessed this incident.
A woman in her 20s has been sexually assaulted in Wimborne.
Between 10.45am and 11am on Tuesday 14 October, the victim was walking along a gravel track between Moore Close and Ainsley Road when it is reported she was inappropriately touched twice on her bottom by a man.
The suspect is described as a white male, aged between 40 and 50 years-old, approximately five feet eleven inches tall and of slim build with stubble and long slicked-back hair with grey streaks that was just below his ears in length. He was wearing a dark blue hooded jumper, dark blue tracksuit bottoms and black shoes.
The offender was walking a dog at the time of the incident, which is described as a medium-sized black dog with a blue collar.
Police Constable Tom Bailey, of East Dorset police, said: “This was very distressing for the victim and we are determined to identify the man responsible.
“I am now appealing to anyone who may recognise the man and his dog from the descriptions given to please come forward.
“Also, I am keen to speak to anyone who was walking in the area around the relevant time and may have information to help my investigation.”
