6,000 Poole households will be asked to give their views on what it’s like living in Poole and what they think about local public services when they receive the 2014 Shaping Poole Survey.
The survey will ensure Poole’s local strategic partnership (Poole Partnership, made up of the Council, Dorset Police, Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group, Dorset Fire and Rescue, Poole Council for Voluntary Services and other partners from the private, voluntary and community sectors) makes the right decisions about the provision of services for people living in Poole.
Topics covered in the survey include what it’s like to live in Poole, views on local services such as recycling, public transport and leisure facilities as well as questions about community safety and the overall performance of the Council and other local services such as the police, fire service, hospitals and GP surgeries.
Councillor Elaine Atkinson, Leader of the Council, Borough of Poole said: “We greatly value feedback from our residents. This survey is essential in helping the Council and our partners in Poole Partnership understand what is important to our residents and where we need to improve, and is a valuable opportunity for people to influence how services are delivered in Poole. We really appreciate the time people give to share their views and encourage as many people as possible to complete and return their questionnaire.”
The survey will be sent to addresses selected at random and can be completed online by following the instructions that will be sent with the survey – it should take no more than 15 minutes. All individual responses will be kept private and confidential.
The results will be published in Poole News and on the Council’s website, www.boroughofpoole.com when they are available.
