Autism Wessex is looking for local people celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary in 2013 to come and celebrate with them on 29 June. Hosting their inaugural Ball to mark the 45th anniversary of the regional charity, a Sapphire themed occasion, the charity would like to gift two VIP tickets to attend the Ball to a local couple with a love story to share.
Paul Reade, Community and Events Fundraiser at Autism Wessex said, “We wanted to have a bit of fun with this event and invite anyone celebrating their 45th wedding anniversary this year to get in touch and tell us their story. The winning couple will receive two complimentary tickets to attend the Ball, worth over £100 and VIP treatment on the night.”
Autism Wessex is the regional charity providing high quality specialist services for people affected by autism and associated difficulties across the counties of Dorset, Somerset, Hampshire and Wiltshire. The charity was founded in 1968 by parents of children with autism, and has recently changed its name from The Wessex Autistic Society in recognition of the changing world in which the charity continues to operate.
Proceeds raised from the sale of tickets will support the charity. Tables of ten are available for £500 and individual tickets can be purchased for £55 per person which includes a drink on arrival and a 3-course meal as well as the evening’s entertainment. The evening at the Queen’s Hotel promises to be a red carpet event full of glitz and glamour with a charity auction.
