CCTV images have been released of two suspects following a robbery at a shop in Poole, which happened at around 9.20pm on Wednesday 12 October at the Co-op on Oakdale Road.
It was reported that two men entered the store, selected items and approached the till. As one of the suspects attempted to pay, the other sprayed one of the shop assistants in the face with an unknown substance from a can. The pair then took a quantity of cash from the open till and made off.
Neither of the two shop assistants were physically injured.
Both suspects are described as white men, aged in their late 20s or 30s. One was of stocky build and with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark green puffer jacket with a fur hood, grey trousers and black trainers with a white trim and white laces. The other was of slim build, had short black hair and was wearing a black jacket, black jeans and black shoes.
Detective Constable Steve Cartwright, of Bournemouth CID, said: “This was a terrifying incident that has left the victims understandably shaken.”
He appealed to anyone able to identify the suspects to come forward. “Anyone who has further information about the incident or saw two men acting suspiciously in the area at the time should contact police.”
