Six people assaulted at Sandbanks festival
The assaults which resulted in multiple people injured took place at Sandfest on Sandbanks beach on Sunday 13 July.
A man was seriously assaulted by a group of unknown men while attending Sandfest on Sandbanks beach at around 10.30pm on Sunday 13 July.
It is further reported that four women and a member of security were assaulted by the group when they attempted to intervene.
All six victims were taken to hospital for their injuries which include facial injuries, a broken leg, and concussion.
Following enquiries, four men – a 29-year-old from London, a 28-year-old from Fareham, a 29-year-old from Gravesend and a 31-year-old from Gravesend – were arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm.
They have all been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
Detective Constable Bethany Milne, of Dorset Police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this reported assault and are keen to establish the full circumstances.
“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the reported incident, or has any information that could assist our investigation, to please come forward if you haven’t done so already.
“This was a busy event and we understand a number of people may have also filmed the reported assault on their phones. We would urge anyone who has captured relevant footage to please contact us.”
