Chris Baker celebrated his 30th birthday on 1 December 2012 with a sponsored Skydive in aid of Cherry Tree Nursery in Northbourne. The charity provides sheltered work rehabilitation in a supportive environment for over 100 adults with severe and enduring mental illness.
With the support of his father, Peter, the magnificent sum of £775 was raised through sponsorship.
The money has been spent on new friendship benches, so volunteers can sit outside in the fresh air and socialise together.
The Nursery thanked Chris and Peter Baker for their generous effort to help the much-needed project. The incidence of mental health continues to increase due to the pressures imposed by Government austerity measures.
