A super-stylish bright yellow smart car has been donated by Mercedes-Benz of Poole, to Lewis-Manning Hospice for a month to assist the charity with the promotion of the fantastic Go Yellow Fundraiser.
Mercedes-Benz of Poole has generously donated the use of a ‘fortwo’ Prime Cabriolet smart car at the disposal of the Hospice, which supports patients and families in Poole, Bournemouth and the surrounding areas of Dorset who are facing a life-limiting illness.
Until the end of March, a touch of yellow fever is coming to the region as individuals, schools, organisations and businesses support the Go Yellow campaign.
Martin White, Dealer Principal of Mercedes-Benz of Poole, said: “Lewis-Manning is thoroughly deserving of local business partnerships and support so we want to help them spread the word and it is our hope we can help them spread the message more speedily and effectively with the help of our smart car.”
The 999c automatic car features six-speed dual clutch, black leather heated seats and is a premium package model including height adjustable driver’s seat and steering wheel, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, navigation and media system and reversing sensors.
Harry Redknapp, recently crowned ‘King of the Jungle’ has also joined forces with the Hospice to spearhead the Go Yellow appeal throughout Dorset.
Vanessa Howden-Smith, fundraising at Lewis-Manning Hospice, said: “We are on a mission to get as many businesses and personal supporters to help us. We have lots of ideas and you can get involved by selling our yellow ribbon pin badges or by purchasing them from the Lewis-Manning shops at Westbourne – most recently opened by Harry – Blandford, Ashley Cross and Wimborne, in exchange for a suggested £2 donation, or creating fundraising events to support the hospice.”
“The support from Mercedes-Benz of Poole with their smart car is greatly appreciated as it’s eye-catching, useful and highlights our campaign. We want to encourage everyone to be creative and think yellow, keep it yellow and Go Yellow!”
