Parents of young twins are have a helping hand when teaching their children to swim with new sessions aimed specifically for them.
The weekly sessions take place at Two Riversmeet Leisure Centre and already four sets of twins have taken to the water.
Darren Spreadbury, Operational Team Leader at Two Riversmeet, said: “We believe this course is a unique one in the local area. We decided to start the classes as we thought that parents of twins often find it difficult to undertake sporting activities and keep an eye on two youngsters at the same time.”
One of the parents, Kate James, said: “This fun light hearted group has given my twins and I the opportunity to enjoy the water whilst in a safe environment. It’s daunting taking toddler twins swimming on your own but this group has given me the confidence to do this.
“My girls absolutely love it and only cry when it’s time to get out! That’s a big change from three months ago. The facilities are great with plenty of space for buggies and changing tables and playpens in the changing rooms. The teacher is also very helpful and fantastic!”
