Members of the Wessex Area’s ‘Mazda MX-5 Owners Club’ pulled up at Lewis-Manning Hospice in their sports cars to present them with a cheque for £250.
The generous donation was raised at a fundraising event, organised by Jean and Ian Tulloch, that was held at Magna Mazda last September and the group handed over the cheque to Sara Johnson, Community Fundraiser for Lewis-Manning, who said, “We are once again delighted to be supported by the club and it was wonderful to have so many visit the hospice and take the opportunity to look around our amazing facility.”
The Wessex Group, which predominantly centres on Dorset but also includes members in the neighbouring counties of Hampshire, Somerset and Wiltshire, has been supporting Lewis-Manning for the last few years.
The charity, which supports over 650 local people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, will be using the money to help open its first in-patient bedrooms in May this year.
