A screening of a new film, said by Empire Magazine’s Kim Newman as being “a worthy successor to ‘Shaun of the Dead,'” has sold out in less than a week. To cope with demand, Indie Screen Dorset at Lighthouse in Poole has added an extra performance on 9 December at 5.45pm.
Written by Dan Palmer from Poulner and directed by Christian James from Burley, the Christmas Zombie film takes place entirely in a ladies’ restroom.
“It was filmed in a local barn,” says Dan, who also plays the lead role. “We acquired the majority of the sets’ fixings from a closed nightclub that was auctioning their broken down bathroom on, you guessed, Ebay!” he said. “We made the film with local actors and crew in only 15 days with a very small budget.”
Premiered at Leicester Square, the ‘gang’ have been bowled over by the response.
‘Stalled’ has received great reviews and has been shown all over the world from South Korea to Norway. Said to be scary, funny and heartrending at the same time, the film is rated 18 and contains strong language and scenes of a sexual nature. Book online or call 0844 406 8666.
