Street art celebrated at Bournemouth exhibition
Bournemouth’s creative scene was celebrated in late October at the Raw Wall Collective’s latest exhibition.
Bournemouth’s creative scene was celebrated in late October, as local art group The Raw Wall Collective hosted its latest exhibition — a vibrant showcase bringing affordable, high-quality art to the public while supporting rising artists across the region.
Held at the Auger Collective space in Boscombe’s Sovereign Shopping Centre, the exhibition brought together a diverse roster of emerging creators working across street art, mixed media, sculpture, and contemporary visual culture.
The event also received enthusiastic support from local representatives, with Labour MPs Tom Hayes and Jessica Toale attending a private viewing. Their presence highlighted the value of cultural investment and grassroots artistic initiatives in the local community.
“Seeing leaders from our area show up for the creative community means the world to us,” said Nathan Shaw, founder of The Raw Wall Collective.
“We’re building something that not only celebrates emerging talent but opens doors for people who may not normally feel art is for them.”
The exhibition was sponsored by Casa Di Vini and featured works from a broad range of creators including Bournemouth-based street artist Asuek, known for works incorporating nostalgic and everyday objects — blending pop-culture, humour, and social commentary.
Asuek said: “Street art, to me, is an outlet. It’s saved me on multiple occasions, in times where I haven’t had a voice or a place in society.
“Street art has kept me going; it’s given me a reason to live.
“For the wider community, it brings so many of us together and gives us a voice.”
As part of its mission to make art accessible and give emerging artists a platform, The Raw Wall Collective prioritises affordability, visibility, and community-led engagement.
