Street Art for Bournemouth
A final event has been added to the Summer Streets programme, with Street Art in Westover Road on 12 July.

There is another opportunity to enjoy a Summer Streets event in Bournemouth Town Centre, as one has been added to the programme. Following widespread positive feedback, a sixth and final event will take place on 12 July from 12pm to 3pm on Westover Road. This will be a second Street Art Saturday, featuring live drawing, caricatures, a shop window quiz, arts workshops, free face painting, free children’s crafts, and live violin music. The event follows the original Street Art day, which was moved indoors to Bournemouth Arcade due to rain – but still proved incredibly popular despite the bad weather and last-minute venue change. The extra date gives residents and visitors another opportunity to enjoy the event – outdoors and in full.
Organised and funded by the Bournemouth Town Centre BID, in partnership with BCP Council and the Town Centre Improvement Fund, Summer Streets is a new initiative for 2025 aimed at bringing free themed entertainment and activities to different areas of the town centre every Saturday.
Launched during May half term, five events have taken place so far – Street Fashion, Street Dance, Street Art, Street Music, and Street Sport – drawing well over 10,000 visitors across the series to date. Local businesses have reported increased footfall and engagement on Summer Streets Saturdays, with visitors and shoppers lingering longer to enjoy everything on offer, from family fun and free workshops to live entertainment, expert advice and giveaways.
Martin Davies, chairman of Bournemouth Town Centre BID, said: “Summer Streets was a new addition to our calendar this year, and it’s been a big hit. It’s brought energy to the town, helped support local businesses, and given families a reason to explore different parts of the centre.
“With all the fantastic positivity and engagement around Summer Streets, we’re delighted to finish with a bonus finale event, celebrating the creativity and colour this series was all about.”
The final Street Art event, which, unlike the previous jointly funded Summer Streets events, will be funded entirely by Bournemouth Town Centre BID, takes place on Saturday 12 July on Westover Road, from 12pm to 3pm. Entry is free.
