Students in Dorset celebrated their GCSE results today
This year's GCSE and BTec results come after two tough years of disruption in the education system due to the pandemic.
Headteacher at QE School in Wimborne, Katie Boyes, said: “At Queen Elizabeth’s School we are absolutely delighted with the results of each of our Year 11 students.
“This cohort of students have faced an incredibly tough two years having disrupted years of schooling since starting at QE as a result of the pandemic.
“The results that they have achieved are fantastic. Behind every set of results is a student who has worked exceptional hard demonstrating determination and resilience. We are incredibly proud of them and congratulate them all.”
Stand-out achievements at QE School included:
Zoe Richardson: 5 grade 9s and 5 grade 8s
Connie Pope: 2 grade 9s, 6 grade 8s, 1 grade 7 and 1 grade 6
Thomas Lilly: 2 grade 9s, 4 grade 8s, 3 grade 7s and 1 grade 6
Alfie Trigger: 2 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s and 5 grade 7s.
Rebecca Bentham: 6 grade 9s and 2 grade 8s
Amy Donohoe: 4 grade 9s, 4 grade 8s and 1 grade 7
Isobel Ritchie: 4 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s and 3 grade 7s
James Macaulay: 7 grade 7s, 1 grade 6 and 1 grade 5
Megan Andersen: 1 grade 9, 2 grade 8’s, 4 grade 7s and 2 BTEC Level 2 Distinction
