A fete on 6 September at Sturts Farm rounded off summer in West Moors in style.
Held to raise funds for educational equipment for Sturts Farm Community Trust, families flocked to the farm to enjoy tractor rides, craft and market stalls, an organic meat barbecue and delicious home made cream teas. mags4dorset held a ‘double decker’ prize-every-time stall to raise funds for its charity of the year, Green Cottage Riding for the Disabled, and director Ben Pulford said, “The stall was busy all day and we raised a further £60 for the charity.”
Entertainment at the summer fete was supplied by Klexmer and Verwood Brass Band in the music tent and there was a fun dog show in the arena. Farm animals were on show to the public and Scott the bull not only looked very handsome, but everyone had the chance to guess his weight.
