Priest’s House Museum’s wonderful walled garden will play host to a Summer Fete on Saturday 8 August. The garden’s hidden alcoves and secluded lawns will be packed with events and activities for all the family from 10am to 4pm.
It is a chance to take a peek behind the museum’s High Street façade and discover this secret treasure with its colourful herbaceous borders, traditional vegetable patch and fruit trees.
Entry is FREE so pop along, explore this fascinating museum, and enjoy live music, face painting, crafts, traditional games and a variety of stalls from collectables and linens to toys, books, cakes, plants and produce.
The focus is on family fun with a magical performance by Hand to Mouth Theatre of their puppet show ‘Flights of Fancy’, a real treat for those aged 3 to 103.
The café will be open with a special fete tea and cake offer as well as tasty light lunches and afternoon teas.
