The famous Lions Youth Brass Band from Cheshire performed at a concert presented by the Wimborne and Ferndown Lions at the Barrington Theatre in Ferndown on Sunday 26 July. The concert, played by 43 band members aged 12-18, showcased several solo performances in a varied programme. Pieces included ‘King of the Road’ (trombone solo), ‘Teddy Bears Picnic’ (tuba solo) and ‘YMCA’ to get the audience’s arms swinging. The photograph shows the band during this last number.
