Supplies stolen from Wimborne food bank
A food bank in Wimborne was broken into during the Easter bank holiday weekend.

Workers at a food bank in Wimborne were devastated to discover that its supplies had been stolen during a break-in over the Easter bank holiday weekend.
The team at Wimborne Foodbank+ discovered on Tuesday 22 April that its food supply shed had been broken into during the weekend.
Supplies stolen included: tinned fish, tinned spaghetti, corned beef and ham, meat meals, meatballs, hot dogs, baked beans, ravioli, pasta sauce, long Life milk, pasta, rice, spaghetti, soup, tinned tomatoes, empty bags, bottles of squash and toilet rolls.
One of the foodbank’s managers, Michelle Kratzke, said: “Our store has been broken into at some point over the Easter weekend. We have been very busy lately, so this does put pressure on our already low stocks.
“If anyone is able to support the details are below of where people can donate items or funds to help us replenish our stocks. Thank you.”
If you wish to support the food bank by providing replacement supplies, you can leave donations at:
- Waitrose Wimborne
- Furzehill Village Stores
- Outside Oakley Village Butchers in Merley
- Coop Colehill, Coop Crown Mead and Coop Walford Mill
- One Stop in Colehill
- Griffin Funeralcare Broadstone

Alternatively, you can bring donations directly to the food bank at Leigh Park Community Centre on Gordon Road on Fridays between 12noon and 2pm or during sessions on Wednesday mornings from 10am to 12noon or Fridays from 2pm to 4pm.
