Solicitor Craig Wells will be going on the run next month when he takes part in his first London Marathon.
The father of two is joining 37,000 other runners for the event on Sunday, 21 April.
He hopes to raise at least £1,750 for his chosen charity Children with Cancer UK.
Craig, a Partner with Ellis Jones Solicitors, said, “I’m really looking forward to it. The atmosphere should be fantastic.
“Training is going well and I’m currently doing 30 miles a week with a run of up to 15 miles at weekends.”
A former student at the Purbeck School in Wareham, Craig, 43, completed the Purbeck Marathon last year and is a keen off-road runner in his spare time.
He joined Ellis Jones in 2002 and became a Partner in 2005. The firm has offices in Canford Cliffs, Bournemouth, Ringwood and Swanage.
“Everyone is being very supportive, especially my wife, Julie, and I’m really pleased to be getting close to my fundraising target with still weeks to go,” said Craig who has two sons, aged seven and four.
