Work started this month to restore heathland at the country park just outside Ringwood in a £1.2 million project.

Flags for Avon Heath Country Park, Stour Meadows, Milldown, Durlston Country Park and Thorncombe Wood, Black Heath and Hardy’s Birthplace sites.

Guided walks take place every Tuesday at Avon Heath Country Park, and are led by knowledgeable and friendly volunteers.

The Avon Heath Country Park Health Walks, led by friendly trained volunteers take place every Tuesday at 2pm.
