Ahead of what could be a bumper Bank Holiday for visitors, BCP Council is to litter pick on Wessex Way overnight next week.

Hillbourne Primary School in Kitchener Crescent, which is being rebuilt, will provide facilities including 14 classrooms.

Thanks to funding of £80,000 from Historic England there will be a number of events over a three-year period in Poole High Street.

A total of 21 schools in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area are to receive grants to encourage pupils to walk or cycle to school.

Works to prioritise walking and cycling at Poole Quay during the summer are scheduled for completion by 1 November.

Indoor attractions in the BCP Council area are opening their doors this week, in addition to land train services.

The green travel routes proposed connect Wimborne and Ferndown with Poole town centre and Merley to Christchurch.

There are large areas of Dorset and the New Forest where disposable barbecues are banned and many stores are refusing to sell them.

With social distancing in place, 76 members of BCP Council were able to meet in person for the annual council meeting.

Jobwise young people have been badly affected during the pandemic and this show will help teenagers to see the way forward.
