Public consultation has been taken by BCP Council into the future of the site of the former Beach House Café at Mudeford Sandbank.

The science park with bring new education, employment and investment opportunities to the area and enable development of the rest of the site.

From 18 December, night clubs, events organisations, and businesses involved in travel and culture will be able to apply for a grant.

The new scheme, launched by BCP Council, will start on 25 January and will be operated in partnership with Beryl Bikes.

It is hoped the hub will help to see the reduction of waste along the Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole coastline.

A raft of measures are available to help residents in need, such as meal vouchers, help with utility bills and financial advice.

With so many EU citizens living in the area, BCP Council is urging them to apply for settled status if they wish to stay in the UK.

The council, which covers Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, says its services are open throughout Christmas with a few exceptions.
