A new report recommends BCP Council stops working to bring back the popular air show in 2026 and beyond.
This is the last such festival to be organised by BCP Council and it is hoped a new operator will come forward for a future event.
Bournemouth Air Festival takes place from today, Thursday 29, to Saturday 31 August and BCP Council is reminding people of a number of restrictions.
The Saab Viggen and Saab Draken will be giving stunning displays at this year’s festival which runs from Thursday 29 until Saturday 31 August.
Several big events are planned for the towns in the BCP Council area, with others needing business support.
Sponsors are invited to take part in the 2024 event with the deadline for interest being 2pm on Friday 1 March.
Far reaching plans are to go before BCP Council’s cabinet on 22 November, in the hope of saving the air festival.
The recent Bournemouth Air Festival increased visitor spending across the region by more than £50m, and most hotels were fully booked.
