The Dorset branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England has provided funding to Dorset Climate Action Network for Dorset’s hedges.

The CPRE is asking people to look up at the skies from 17-24 February and to count the stars they can see.

This year’s star count which is backed by a Colehill resident, should reveal whether lockdown has had an impact on light pollution.

There has been an epidemic of PPE litter over the last nine months, according to a poll commissioned by the CPRE.

The upside of lockdown is that it has made us appreciate our green spaces as we go for our daily walks.
