Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service is urging campsite managers in the county to take precautions to minimise fire risks.

Residents and local councils have been concerned about the number of new ‘pop-up’ campsites that have opened in the past two years.

BCP Council is warning would-be campers that if they pitch their tents on local beaches they could face a fine of £1,000.
