People who support a friend or family member due to their illness, disability, frailty, mental health or substance misuse are invited to events.

Carers Week runs until 12 June and those who look after others are reminded that help is on hand with events planned.

Carers Week runs from 6-12 June and there are three local drop-in events held at libraries in the conurbation.

‘Making Carers Visible and Valued’ is the theme for Carers Week 7-13 June with events being held in Dorset.

Later in the summer, BCP Council will work with partners to coordinate a week of activities for carers in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

Dorset HealthCare is asking local unpaid carers to recognise the value of what they do – and remember to look after themselves.
