The Lift Legend campaign has returned with over 30 licensed premises offering free soft drinks to drivers giving friends a lift home.
There will be increased patrols across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight during December as part of Operation Holly.
The campaign, which runs until 28 August, means that officers will be increasing operational focus on those driving while impaired.
There will be dedicated patrols and intelligence led proactive policing in this year’s drink and drug drive summer campaign.
Sadly figures were up over the recent Christmas period with 112 arrests, compared with 88 in the same period in 2020.
