Groceries and items of personal care can be brought to Dorset Chamber’s Christmas Lunch on 1 December or be delivered to its office.
A call has gone out to local artists asking them to donate their work and help turn art into food for those struggling this winter.
Beans, tomatoes, potatoes, beetroot, sweetcorn, red onions, herbs, courgettes and lettuces have been delivered to a food bank.
Cookery workshops and the Meal in a Bag projects will benefit from the grant from Christchurch Food Festival Education Trust.
Pilot schemes including £15,000 of funding for four local foodbanks will improve and expand on the availability of fresh produce in food parcels.
