Bournemouth Freemasons raise funds for older people’s charity

The Freemasonry in the Community event saw the presentation of £96,450 to local charities and good causes.
The Mayor of Bournemouth visited the Freemasons’ Hall in Bournemouth to see donated toys and to present cheques.
In the first Freemasonry in the Community event since the pandemic, numerous local charities received funding.
Freemasons from Christchurch and Bournemouth have helped to raise £500,000 for Ukranian refugees in less than three weeks.
Bournemouth Freemasons have donated thousands of presents to the Salvation Army to distribute amongst local children.
Feeling that staff at the hospital hadn’t received any gifts, local Freemasons made a presentation to those who had worked hard during the pandemic.
More than 1.4 million young people from across the UK will benefit from support from the United Grand Lodge of England.
Freemasons in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight – which include those in Bournemouth and Christchurch – supported the day.
During the pandemic, local Freemasons have joined forces with others across the country to raise funds to support those in need.
