A young woman from Highcliffe, Dorset, who will probably never walk again has been presented with a mobility scooter from a lodge of Freemasons.
During lockdown local Freemasons raised funds for Lymington New Forest Hospital, Bournemouth Hospital and other charities.
Freemasons in Bournemouth and Christchurch, who come under the Province of Hampshire and Isle of Wight, have contributed towards a fundraising effort by Freemasons across the country to support those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. So far £1 million has been raised, but this could double as donations continue to flood in.
After a decade of achievements, Mike Wilks, the Provincial Grand Master of the Freemasons in the Province of Hampshire and Isle of Wight, has retired from the role.
