An annual litter pick on 2 April in West Moors has revealed that litter is on the increase in the town.
There are just 250 spaces available for people to take part in this year’s challenge which takes place in May.
The cleaning works will take place on Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 August from the Cooper Dean flyover to the County Gates.
The Litter Free Dorset challenge, which took place in June, invited people to pick up litter in their local area.
Young people take up the challenge to pick up rubbish on the walk from their homes to the centre of the town.
There are plenty of groups in Dorset who are taking part in Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean campaign.
Ahead of what could be a bumper Bank Holiday for visitors, BCP Council is to litter pick on Wessex Way overnight next week.

The action is necessary in order to remove litter and fly tipping and to sweep the road from the Cooper Dean to the Ashley Heath roundabout.
