A Bournemouth University staff member has praised quick-thinking police officers who returned his bike before he realised it had been stolen.

Donald Ian Campbell, who had pleaded guilty in June, was sentenced to six years at Bournemouth Crown Court on 20 October.

Martin Thomas has been banned from owning an animal for up to five years and has to carry out community service.

The three-month partial closure order was imposed by Poole Magistrates because of anti-social behaviour and drug taking.
